About Merino Wool

Nature and comfort—made wearable.

Naturally comfortable, every day.

—A natural material we arrived at in pursuit of comfort

White wool

Natural materials have long been a familiar part of our lives. Broadly speaking, they can be divided into plant-based fibers such as cotton and linen, and animal-based fibers such as wool and silk. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, and they are chosen according to purpose.

In our pursuit of “comfort,” we compared and studied many materials—and what we arrived at was wool, the most functional of natural fibers.

Knitting machine

Wool is often associated with knits and coat fabrics, but we wanted to make it something you can wear comfortably every day. That is why we chose to create our products by knitting wool into jersey.

The combination of jersey—able to draw out wool’s strengths to the fullest—supports the comfort of C-one.

—POINT 1
Cool in summer, warm in winter
Comfort in every season

Wool’s ability to regulate temperature according to the season and surrounding environment is the result of evolution—so sheep can stay comfortable all year round.

Even when there is a large difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, wool works to retain and release heat depending on the wearer’s skin temperature and the outside air. Wool is often thought of as a winter material, but in fact it is the ultimate functional material that performs even in summer.

—POINT 2
Natural odor control
for lasting freshness

Wool has excellent deodorizing properties. Compared with other fibers, it produces less odor and is less likely to develop a sweaty smell. This is due to keratin, wool’s main component, which absorbs and traps odor-causing substances. It helps not only with sweat odor, but also reduces that “damp laundry” smell during indoor drying—making it a great choice even for those who like to wash daily during humid seasons such as the rainy season.

It’s an ultimate material that actually performs year-round—though most people don’t know it.

—POINT 3
Even UV protection—
a surprisingly versatile material.

Surprisingly, wool also has a high UV-blocking rate. It helps protect your skin from UV rays not only in summer, but even in cooler seasons when UV exposure remains a concern. It is an all-around material that is difficult to replicate even with modern technology.

Easy care at home,
for clean, comfortable days.

1. Easy to wash
Machine washable. Even after repeated washing, it resists losing its shape and fading.

2. Wrinkle-resistant and quick to recover
Because it is jersey knit, it has excellent stretch and is less likely to wrinkle—even without ironing.
